Atlanta Braves catcher Evan Gattis will miss a fifth consecutive game Saturday against the Texas Rangers at Globe Life Park as he continues to battle a bout of strep throat.

Gattis, a Texas native, was decidedly disappointed that he was unable to play in Friday's series opener with a gaggle of family and friends in attendance.

"A lot of people [are here to watch] – more than I know," Gattis told MLB.com of the friends and family attending this weekend. "It's frustrating. It's the first time I've had the opportunity to play here."
