The Gold Glover did, however, display some troubling physical symptoms following the game.

The Braves will enjoy an off day Thursday before beginning a crucial three-game series with the New York Mets, which will provide Simmons some extra recovery time.
Outfielder Jason Heyward also suffered a thumb injury in the victory.
