San Francisco Giants outfielder Hunter Pence earned legions of fans with his unorthodox playing style and eccentric personality, and the 31-year-old probably gained a few more admirers with this impassioned speech moments after his team clinched a spot in the postseason Thursday.
Brandishing a champagne bottle, Pence barks encouraging platitudes and profanities at his teammates like any good leader might, but there's something special about this particular post-game speech. Probably because it's coming from Hunter Pence.
Apparently the more adult content of Pence's speech is standard operating procedure for the three-time All-Star.
Rookies not surprised at all by Pence's not-fit-for-print speech. "Oh, that's a daily speech," one of them said.
