Former Giant Huff will continue to wear 'rally thong' for duration of team's playoff run
Every big league ballplayer wants to be at the top of their game in October for a playoff run, and some will resort to strange rituals as a good luck omen.
Former San Francisco Giants first baseman Aubrey Huff donned the 'rally thong' during the team's 2010 and 2012 championship run, and will do so again as a good luck charm despite being retired.
I will be wearing this to support not only my package but also the #SFGiants! Go Giants!! pic.twitter.com/ChU3XyU7mW

Huff made the announcement prior to Wednesday's National League wild-card game, and was convinced the thong had something to do with Madison Bumgarner's complete-game shutout effort to propel the team to the next round.
In case any of you are wondering yes I will continue to wear the thong! Unbelievable game by Madbum!
