The Oakland Athletics and general manager Billy Beane are expected to be a busy group over the duration of the winter meetings, and one player who could be on the move is right-hander Jeff Samardzija.
According to Bob Nightengale of USA Today, the Chicago White Sox could be the favorites to land the hurler.

The White Sox appear intent on becoming a contender in the American League Central again with rumors of increased interest in David Robertson floating around as well.
Samardzija, who posted a 7-13 record with a 2.99 ERA last season, would be a nice addition to a starting rotation that currently consists of Chris Sale, John Danks, Jose Quintana and Hector Noesi.
Buster Olney also had this to say about the two teams hooking up on a potential deal.
Oakland and the White Sox have been frequent trade partners through the years. Execs on both sides say they work well together. #Samardzija
