Kim and the Padres had a 5 p.m. ET deadline to get a deal done after the Padres won the bid for the left-hander in November.
Kim, 26, posted a 3.42 ERA with a 145/81 strikeout-to-walk ratio in nearly 174 innings pitched for the SK Wyverns last season.
