VIDEO: Chase Utley surprises cancer-stricken Phillies fan on 'Ellen'

Chase Utley's illustrious tenure with the Philadelphia Phillies has yielded a World Series championship and six All-Star appearances, providing ample explanation for why he's affectionately known as "The Man" in certain parts of Pennsylvania.

The 35-year-old second baseman demonstrated yet again on Monday precisely why he boasts such a flattering moniker.

Utley made a guest appearance on Ellen DeGeneres' eponymous talk show to surprise Julie Kramer, a self-proclaimed Phillies fanatic who's battling a rare form of soft tissue cancer. 

Overcome with emotion, Kramer enthusiastically embraced Utley, who not only presented her with some great swag but also invited her to as many Phillies games as she wishes to attend next season.
