Report: Padres, Dale Thayer avoid arbitration with 1-year deal

The San Diego Padres have avoided arbitration with right-hander Dale Thayer by agreeing to a one-year contract, reports MLB.com's Thomas Harding.
Thayer will earn $1.375 million in 2015.
The 34-year-old went 4-5 with a 2.34 ERA and collected 13 holds out of the Padres bullpen.
