The Minnesota Twins avoided arbitration with Jordan Schafer by agreeing to a one-year, $1.55-million deal with the 28-year-old outfielder on Friday, reports MLB.com's Rhett Bollinger.
Schafer, a third-round pick in the 2005 draft, was claimed off waivers by the Twins from the Atlanta Braves in August and is expected to provide outfield depth in 2015 behind Oswaldo Arcia, Torii Hunter and Aaron Hicks.
Schafer hit .238/.310/.305 with a career-high 30 stolen bases over 104 games between the Braves and Twins in 2014.
