Analysis:
Abad's first season with the A's was a resounding success, as he cut his ERA from 2013 by more than half (to 1.57) and shaved more than 50 points off his WHIP. He gave up just one earned run over the final two months of the season, and will be rewarded accordingly in his first year of arbitration. However, while Abad enjoyed success against both lefties and righties last season, he likely won't be in the mix for saves while Sean Doolittle (shoulder) is out.
