Report: Athletics, Fernando Abad agree to terms on 1-year contract

The Oakland Athletics avoided arbitration with left-hander Fernando Abad by agreeing to a one-year contract, according to MLB Trade Rumors.
Abad will earn $1,087,500 in 2015.
The reliever filed at $1.225 million and the A's countered at $850,000 when the two sides exchanged salary expectations.
The 29-year-old went 2-4 with a career-low 1.57 ERA in 69 appearances for Oakland.
