Max Scherzer takes out full-page ad to thank Tigers, fans

Max Scherzer recently inked a seven-year, $210-million contract with the Washington Nationals, but he hasn't forgotten about his former club and fans.

The Nationals and Detroit Tigers aren't scheduled to square off in interleague play this season, so the only potential return to Detroit for Scherzer would be in the World Series, should both teams qualify.
