Reed Johnson agrees to minor league deal with Miami Marlins
MIAMI (AP) Outfielder Reed Johnson has agreed to a minor league contract with the Miami Marlins and has been invited to bug league spring training.
Johnson hit .235 in 187 at-bats last year, his 12th in the majors and first season with the Marlins. He will compete for a spot as a reserve outfielder.
The agreement was announced Tuesday, three days before Marlins pitchers and catchers report.
