Phillies' Lee feels good after throwing to live hitters for 1st time since July

The Philadelphia Phillies are slowly nursing another potential trade chip back to health.
Left-hander Cliff Lee threw to live hitters for the first time Wednesday since being shut down in July with an elbow injury and reported no discomfort.
That's good news for general manager Ruben Amaro Jr., who has the daunting task of seeking high returns for veterans Cole Hamels, Jonathan Papelbon and Lee in potential trades to spark the rebuilding process in Philadelphia.
Lee, 36, went 4-5 with a 3.65 ERA in 13 starts for the Phillies last season. He will make $25 million in 2015 and $27.5 million the following year if his vesting option is activated.
