Matusz had a cortisone shot in his non-throwing shoulder Monday, MASN Sports reports.
Analysis:
Matusz strained the shoulder about six weeks ago while bench pressing. He has not struggled with any significant injury in his career and it is a good thing the injury is on the non-throwing shoulder. Matusz threw a bullpen session Tuesday and is scheduled to pitch in a split-squad game Thursday.
