Eager to curb Billy Hamilton's enthusiasm on the basepaths, the Pittsburgh Pirates called for a pitchout with the speedy 24-year-old standing on first base in the third inning of Thursday's contest at Great American Ball Park.
Here's the thing, though: Hamilton had already stolen second base by the time it occurred to catcher Tony Sanchez to call for the pitchout. In all likelihood, Hamilton probably had second base stolen before he even reached first base.

Hamilton, who finished his 2014 rookie campaign with 56 stolen bases, was comparably ruthless Wednesday night, when he swiped three bags off catcher Francisco Cervelli.
Thursday's game in Cincinnati, incidentally, is currently in the middle of a rain delay, presumably because Hamilton stole the sunshine.
