The Chicago Cubs will be without the services of Tommy La Stella after putting the second baseman on the 15-day disabled list on Tuesday with inflammation in his rib cage.
La Stella was held out of the lineup the past two games with soreness, as the Cubs continue to deal with injuries to their infield.
The 26-year-old is 1-for-6 through his first two games this season.
In a corresponding move, the Cubs recalled reliever Zac Rosscup from Triple-A. The left-hander made 18 appearances at the major-league level in 2014, posting a 9.45 ERA and 21 strikeouts in 13 1/3 innings.
