VIDEO: Paul Goldschmidt destroys a Madison Bumgarner fastball
Jake Roth / USA TODAY Sports
Madison Bumgarner uncharacteristically surrendered five runs on 10 hits in his last outing against the San Diego Padres, and his string of bad luck is spilling over to his next start.
The San Francisco Giants southpaw regrettably challenged Arizona Diamondbacks slugger Paul Goldschmidt with a high fastball in the top of the fifth inning, which resulted in a three-run shot into the left field stands at AT&T Park.

Bumgarner's reaction to the pitch says it all:
The blast was Goldschmidt's 500th career hit and gave the Diamondbacks a 4-1 lead.
