Analysis:
Cabrera is out of the lineup for the first time this season Tuesday against the Red Sox. He's not in danger of losing his starting job, but it sounds as if he may also be held out of the lineup Wednesday. Tim Beckham is starting Tuesday's game at shortstop, with Ryan Brett handling second base. Cabrera has been awful at the plate thus far, posting a .199/.222/.250 slash line through 52 at-bats.
