VIDEO: Pirates' Walker starts 1st ever 4-5-4 triple play
Vance Worley escaped a second-inning jam in the most unlikeliest of ways.
After walking Jhonny Peralta to lead off the frame, the Pittsburgh Pirates right-hander surrendered a double to Jason Heyward to put runners on second and third with none out.
One pitch and a messy scorecard later, the Pirates were out of the inning.
St. Louis Cardinals catcher Yadier Molina lined out to Neil Walker, who threw out Peralta at third before getting the ball back to retire Heyward at second for the first ever 4-5-4 triple play. It's the 11th triple play in Pirates history and first since Sept. 14, 2014.

It was the first triple play the Cardinals hit into since Atlanta shortstop Rafael Furcal made an unassisted triple play on Aug. 10, 2003.
