Rangers designate Carlos Peguero for assignment
Mark J. Rebilas-USA TODAY Sports
Texas Rangers outfielder Carlos Peguero was designated for assignment Wednesday.
Analysis:
Peguero's anemic .186/.310/.414 batting line in 30 games with the Rangers led to his removal from the 25-man roster to make room for Wednesday's starter, Phil Klein. If he passes through waivers unclaimed, he'll likely return to the minors and await another opportunity.
