Rockies' De La Rosa scratched from start vs. Reds due to cut on left hand

A cut on Jorge De La Rosa's left hand compelled the Colorado Rockies to scratch the 34-year-old from Tuesday's scheduled start against the Cincinnati Reds at Great American Ball Park.
The cut on De La Rosa's hand reportedly materialized before his previous start, in which he lasted just 4 1/3 innings but still managed to claim the Rockies' all-time strikeout record in a 7-3 win over the Philadelphia Phillies.
The Rockies consequently recalled Chris Rusin to start in De La Rosa's stead, optioning left-hander Yohan Flande to Triple-A Albuquerque to create a spot for Rusin on the 25-man roster. Rusin, a fourth-round pick in the 2009 draft, owns a 7.11 ERA with a 1.66 WHIP over four relief appearances for Colorado this season.
