Cano: 'I will never regret my decision' to sign with Seattle
Even with his former team in town, Seattle Mariners second baseman Robinson Cano isn't feeling an ounce of regret for leaving the Bronx.
The six-time All-Star bolted New York ahead of last season, heading west after 11 years with the Yankees.
Success has so far eluded Cano in the Pacific Northwest. Seattle missed the postseason by one game last year and the 32-year-old is off to one of the worst starts of his career. Still, Cano has yet to feel any remorse for leaving the organization that signed him as an amateur free agent in 2001.
"I will never regret my decision," Cano told reporters. "The way they've (Seattle) treated me is amazing. Not only my team, (but) the fans, the city."
The $240 million the Mariners ponied likely helps Cano stay upbeat.
