VIDEO: Nationals' Gonzalez rolls to first base to record amazing out

Washington Nationals left-hander Gio Gonzalez took a rather unconventional route to record an out at first base Thursday.
Gonzalez sprinted across the diamond to cover first base on a ground ball hit by Chicago Cubs rookie Kris Bryant. The throw to Gonzalez was off target, though the pitcher managed to still make the catch, and the out, by rolling across the dirt to tag the base.

Bryant tried to argue the call, saying that Gonzalez obstructed his path to the base. Though, the play was not overturned.
