Torii Hunter's striptease was a costly one.
MLB has fined and suspended the Minnesota Twins outfielder two games for his behavior following his ejection in Wednesday's loss to the Kansas City Royals.
Hunter was tossed by home plate umpire Mark Ripperger after being called out on a borderline strike in the eighth inning. When manager Paul Molitor came to his defense, he too was ejected. Hunter continued to voice his displeasure with Ripperger, also removing his gear and throwing it on the field.
The suspension was scheduled to begin Friday against the Texas Rangers, but it will be held off, as Hunter elected to appeal the ruling.
