Chris Humphreys / USA TODAY Sports
This is the story of a squirrel.
In the second inning of Friday night's game between the St. Louis Cardinals and Philadelphia Phillies, players and fans were drawn to an attention-seeking critter.
A daredevil squirrel climbed up the protective netting behind home plate, tiptoed the wire holding the screen in place above the Phillies dugout, before chaos ensued.
After falling on the roof of the home team's dugout, the squirrel fell inside, scaring players and coaches before disappearing altogether.
