Ramirez (shoulder) will be activated for Sunday night's game against the Cardinals, Patrick Mooney of Comcast Sports Net reports.
Analysis:
Ramirez has been on the disabled list with right shoulder inflammation for more than two months. He will join the Cubs' bullpen Sunday. Though he may not pitch in high-leverage situations right away, he's expected to be an important part of the Cubs' bullpen the rest of the season. The Cubs have not yet announced a corresponding roster move.
