Giants' Pagan not in lineup Thursday vs. Marlins due to knee inflammation

San Francisco Giants outfielder Angel Pagan is out of the lineup Thursday as a result of knee inflammation, Andrew Baggarly of CSN Bay Area reports.
Analysis:
Pagan apparently could have talked his way into the lineup according to manager Bruce Bochy, but the San Francisco skipper decided it would be best to give the veteran a day off to be safe. He'll likely be reevaluated prior to Friday's series opener against the Nationals.
