Mariners' Cano to undergo MRI for abdominal strain

The Seattle Mariners will be without Robinson Cano as they look to avoid a three-game sweep at the hands of the Arizona Diamondbacks on Wednesday.
Cano is reported to have an abdominal strain and is scheduled to have an MRI as a precaution. The second baseman felt the strain while playing on Monday, but the injury is not serious and he is expected to go on Seattle's upcoming seven-game road trip that begins Thursday against the Minnesota Twins.
The six-time All-Star struggled through the first three months of the season but has rebounded in July, batting .337/.398/.622 with seven of his 11 home runs coming this month.
