Henry Owens is about to get a crash course in baseball's greatest rivalry.
The 6-foot-6 left-hander will be promoted from Triple-A Pawtucket to make his big-league debut Tuesday when the Boston Red Sox take on the New York Yankees, manager John Farrell announced.
"It's probably going to be the biggest stage that he's going to make his debut on," Farrell said of the upcoming game at Yankee Stadium. "Ideally having another left-hander against that lineup in that ballpark."
Owens, the team's fifth-ranked prospect according to MLB.com, is 3-8 with a 3.16 ERA and 1.14 WHIP in 21 starts in the minors.
