Alex Wood made a lot of celebrities feel better about their first pitches with his seventh inning performance against the Philadelphia Phillies on Tuesday.
We're looking at you 50 Cent and Carl Lewis.
One of the newest members of the Los Angeles Dodgers' rotation, Wood lost control of the ball in his wind-up leading to a bizarre sequence of events with Phillies catcher Carlos Ruiz running home to score what he believed was a tie-breaking run. The play was eventually ruled a balk.
Wood would then go on to walk Odubel Herrera, which loaded the bases for Maikel Franco. Franco made Wood pay by hitting the first grand slam of his MLB career. The blast gave the Phillies a 5-1 lead.
