VIDEO: Smoak becomes 1st Blue Jay to hit grand slam at Yankee Stadium
Following an extra-inning affair Friday, the two highest-scoring teams in baseball were locked in another pitching duel Saturday, with David Price of the Toronto Blue Jays and Ivan Nova of the New York Yankees shutting out opposing batters through five innings.
But then Nova ran into trouble and chose to walk the red-hot Edwin Encarnacion to load the bases for Justin Smoak. With one swing of the bat, the first baseman proved there's no easy out in this Blue Jays' lineup.

Smoak's first career grand slam was the first ever hit by a Toronto player at Yankee Stadium, new or old. Saturday's contest was the 285th Blue Jays game in the Bronx since 1977. The last Blue Jay to hit a grand slam against the Yankees was Tony Fernandez, who cleared the bases at the SkyDome in 2001.
Toronto went on to win its seventh straight game, 6-0.
