The New York Yankees are set to retire Andy Pettitte's No. 46 on Aug. 23 at Yankee Stadium, and will also honor the left-hander with a commemorative patch.

Pettitte, who was known for his menacing stare while receiving signs, contributed to five World Series championships in the Bronx.

The patch, which perfectly captures Pettitte's pre-pitch routine, will be featured on the caps of all Yankee players for the game with the Cleveland Indians.

Pettitte is the franchise's all-time leader in strikeouts (2,020) and ranks third in wins (219) and innings pitched (2,796).
