Mets reacquire Eric Young Jr. in trade with Braves

The Atlanta Braves have traded minor-league outfielder Eric Young Jr. to the New York Mets in exchange for cash considerations.
He'll report to Triple-A Las Vegas.
Young Jr. spent 2013-14 with the Mets before signing a minor-league contract with a spring training invite with the Braves in the offseason.
"(Young) knew his role, and he got ready to play," manager Terry Collins told reporters. "He was pretty valuable two years ago when he led the league in stolen bases. I think it was a great move, because he's well-liked here."
He was designated for assignment on June. 5 after making 85 plate appearances, hitting .169/.229/.273.
Prior to his DFA, Young was batting .248/.349/.312 with 23 stolen bases at Triple-A Gwinnett.
Young Jr. has spent seven seasons in the majors split between the Colorado Rockies, Mets, and Braves.
He lead the National League in stolen bases in 2013 with 46 and has swiped 141 bags across his career.
