Funky things happen at Tropicana Field, and Thursday was no different.
Tampa Bay Rays designated hitter John Jaso belted a sky-high long ball into right field against the Baltimore Orioles. The problem is, the ball never actually left the yard because it got stuck in the Trop's notorious catwalk.
On Wednesday, New York Yankees first baseman Greg Bird launched a mammoth home run off the Tropicana sign in right, which Jaso's homer quite possibly could have done as well, if only it had gotten the chance.
