Boston Red Sox right fielder Mookie Betts waited until there were two outs in the ninth inning to steal the show Friday at Fenway Park.

Betts, the diminutive 22-year-old who hadn't received any professional instruction in the outfield until last year, bookended his club's 7-0 victory over the Baltimore Orioles with a ridiculous leaping grab, extending over the short wall in center field to take a home run away from Chris Davis.

Despite his lack of experience in the outfield, Betts emerged this season as one of the top talents at his position, posting the 12th-most wins above replacement (4.3) among outfielders. Though much of his value comes from his offensive abilities, his defensive work has earned above-average scores from both ultimate zone rating and defensive runs saved, too - not bad for a guy who was still playing second base a year ago.
