Matt Harvey saved his best performance of the season for his team's most important game of the year.
The New York Mets right-hander is dominating the Kansas City Royals midway through Game 5, striking out nine and issuing just one walk over six scoreless frames.
Harvey's sharp-breaking slider and high-90s fastball overmatched Royals hitters, particularly pitcher Edinson Volquez, who resorted to jokingly swinging well late of this 97-mph four-seamer to end the fifth:

Volquez, incidentally, has one of just three Royals hits off Harvey through six innings, becoming the first American League pitcher in five years to collect a hit in the World Series.
