Adron Chambers receives 50-game suspension for violating drug policy

Major League Baseball has suspended outfielder Adron Chambers 50 games without pay following a second positive test for a drug of abuse.
Chambers, 29, appeared in 88 games for the Chicago Cubs' Triple-A affiliate in Iowa this past year, hitting .280 with one home run, 30 RBIs, and nine stolen bases.
The former St. Louis Cardinals draft choice has appeared in 84 contests in the big leagues from 2011-13, hitting .216/.289/.295 in his career.
