Harper, Trout highlight 2015 Silver Sluggers
Washington Nationals phenom Bryce Harper took home the first Silver Slugger award of his brief but illustrious career Thursday, while reigning American League MVP Mike Trout landed his fourth in as many years to highlight the 18 players recognized as the best hitter at their respective positions in 2015.
Half of the players honored Thursday were named Silver Sluggers for the first time, while Detroit Tigers first baseman Miguel Cabrera and New York Yankees catcher Brian McCann each received the award for the sixth time, the most among this year's recipients.
