Mets sign Pimentel to minor-league deal

The New York Mets have signed right-hander Stolmy Pimentel to a minor-league contract with an invitation to spring training.
Pimentel, 25, made eight relief appearances for the Texas Rangers in 2015, posting a 3.97 ERA and a 1.24 WHIP.
The Dominican owns a career ERA of 4.39 in 53 1/3 innings across three big-league seasons.
