The Cleveland Indians have agreed to a minor-league contract with catcher Anthony Recker.
The deal includes an invitation to spring training.
Recker, who was dropped from the New York Mets' 40-man roster earlier this month, will serve as organizational depth behind backstops Yan Gomes and Roberto Perez.
The 32-year-old hit .125/.239/.213 with two home runs and five RBIs in 32 games for New York last season.
