The Los Angeles Angels have signed outfielder Craig Gentry to a one-year, $1-millon deal, the team announced Wednesday.
Gentry spent the last two seasons in the Oakland Athletics organization, batting .120 in 26 major-league games last season, but slashing .256/.319/.327 in Triple-A.
The 26-year-old will provide outfield depth behind Mike Trout and Kole Calhoun. The Angels are rumored to be targeting another upgrade in the outfield through free agency or the trade market.
