Royals, Wang agree to minor-league deal

The Kansas City Royals added right-hander Chien-Ming Wang to a minor-league deal on Thursday.
Wang last pitched in the majors in 2013, posting a 7.67 ERA and 1.81 WHIP across 27 innings. The 35-year-old spent last season in Triple-A, going 6-11 with a 5.88 ERA and 1.69 WHIP in 130 innings.
The deal with the Royals involves a $1-million base salary should he reach the majors, with an additional $1.5 million available in incentives.
