Stroman, Blue Jays get lots of love in new rap video
Marcus Stroman's deep arsenal of pitches apparently includes a devastating two-step.
Four months after making an electrifying return from a torn ACL, the Toronto Blue Jays ace is trying to replicate that success in the rap game.
Earlier this week, rapper Mike Stud shared a teaser for his new music video "These Days," featuring Stroman, who's his friend and former Duke baseball teammate. The official video was released Friday, and Stroman stars in it from start to finish, dancing and playing the life of the party while Stud raps and hangs out with people frequently decked out in Blue Jays gear.
In one verse, Stud draws parallels between his career and Stroman's while the Blue Jays right-hander raps alongside the former standout college pitcher.
"I've been grindin' for a while now it feelin' like my time is finally here," Stud raps.
Though Stroman doesn't flex his vocals on the track, he'll rap a verse on the song's remix, which is slated to be released with Stud's album on Jan. 12.
