Collins moved on from Harvey decision after 'bad 3 days'
The decision to bring Matt Harvey back out in the ninth inning of Game 5 of the World Series was something New York Mets manager Terry Collins immediately admitted would take "a long time" to forget.
That long time turned out to be less than a week.
"I had my bad three days," Collins told MLB Network. "You've got to move on."
Facing elimination and clinging to a 2-0 lead over the Kansas City Royals heading into the ninth, Collins revealed he decided to remove Harvey, but the right-hander walked over to the skipper and demanded he be allowed to try and finish the game.

"I saw the passion in his eyes. 'I want this game,'" Collins said of Harvey. "That's why I think he's great and that's what's going to make him great is that he wants to compete and he wants to compete on the biggest stage in the biggest moment, so I gave him that chance."
Kansas City would score two runs in the ninth off Harvey to tie the game, eventually winning its second World Series in franchise history in extra innings.
"I trusted this young man. I think the world of him. I still do," Collins said. "We made it. It didn't work. You've got to move forward from it."
Collins admitted he hasn't rewatched the ninth-inning collapse and doesn't plan on it.
"I lived it," he said. "I don't have to see it anymore."
