3 hilarious Bob Uecker moments to celebrate his birthday

It's Bob Uecker's 82nd birthday. Or is it his 81st?

The famous announcer and former player's actual age has become something of an enigma. Websites such as Baseball Reference and IMDb list his birth year as 1935, while others such as Wikipedia and the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel report it as 1934.

Although the mystery surrounding his age was unlocked last year - today is his 82nd birthday - what still remains intact is his career in the broadcast booth of the Milwaukee Brewers, and a career outside the booth that's been chock-full of entertaining and memorable moments.

Here are three of the funniest moments from Uecker's career:

Strangled by a Giant

Uecker, who was inducted into the celebrity wing of the WWE Hall of Fame in 2010, first appeared at WrestleMania III. But he's probably most remembered in the wrestling world for his return to the ring in WrestleMania IV and a date with the gargantuan paws of Andre the Giant, which led to the hilarious bit below.

Just a Bit Outside

Uecker's playing days in MLB didn't produce mind-boggling numbers - the catcher hit just .200/.293/.287 in his six-year career - but his work as broadcaster Harry Doyle in the "Major League" films was brilliant.

As the fictional play-by-play man for the Cleveland Indians in the films, Doyle was responsible for some verbal gems in the booth, but none of them have stood the test of time as well as his quip about the control - or lack thereof - of Indians pitcher Rick "Wild Thing" Vaughn.

Stuck in the Booth

"Mr Baseball" couldn't seem to get away from work on May 6.

Uecker and his associates were trapped inside the Miller Park broadcast booth this past season as the Brewers hosted the Los Angeles Dodgers, which led to his rescue thanks to a locksmith with a ladder.

Honorable mentions go to his fantastic back-and-forth with David Letterman in 1994, and his hysterical Miller Light ads.
