Sale: White Sox VP told players 'bald-faced' lie
Chicago White Sox ace Chris Sale had a scathing critique of his team's handling of the ongoing Adam LaRoche controversy on Friday.
Sale told reporters that executive vice president Ken Williams issued the team a "bald-faced" lie with regards to Chicago's rules on having kids in the clubhouse.
"This isn't us rebelling against rules," he said. "This is us rebelling against B.S."

The ace continued his tirade by telling reporters that Williams gave the team three varying versions of how he came to his decision. He said that's what's most angering the players, but didn't elaborate further.
"We were rolling. We had positive energy in here," Sale said. "Nobody saw anything as a distraction until all this happened.
"If we’re all here to win a championship, this kind of stuff doesn’t happen."
Williams initially expressed a desire to return the focus in White Sox camp to baseball, but later released a brief statement that addressed Sale's remarks:
While I disagree with Chris' assertions today, I certainly have always appreciated his passion.
Meanwhile, outfielder Adam Eaton, the White Sox player union representative, said he's already talked with the union about potentially filing a grievance against the organization. Eaton told reporters LaRoche had a clause in his contract allowing Drake to have clubhouse access, and added the players hope to meet with owner Jerry Reinsdorf in the coming days.
LaRoche said earlier in the week he wanted to take time to ponder his decision, but reports out of the clubhouse suggest White Sox players believe the 36-year-old's decision to retire is final.
