Bell presents Donaldson with AL MVP award

A little bit of the Toronto Blue Jays' past crossed paths with its exciting present before the club's home opener Friday against the Boston Red Sox.
George Bell, the only other MVP in franchise history, was on hand at the Rogers Centre to present Josh Donaldson with the American League MVP prize he earned last season:

Donaldson slashed .297/.371/.568 in 2015 and drove in 123 runs to give him the edge over Los Angeles Angels outfielder Mike Trout in MVP voting.
Bell won the honor in 1987.
The award ceremony was a part of a variety of pregame festivities for Toronto, including unveiling a new display on the center-field wall commemorating their AL East championship and having former president Paul Beeston throw out the first pitch.
