Baseball is back, though you could hardly tell by the temperature.

The Pittsburgh Pirates host the St. Louis Cardinals on Sunday to kick off the major-league season, on what will be a chilly afternoon at PNC Park.

Temperature at first pitch is expected to be 37 degrees Fahrenheit (2.7 Celsius), with the windchill making it feel more like 27 degrees (-2.7 C). The grounds crew at PNC park were even tasked with removing snow from the outfield grass earlier in the morning.

The temperature will be much more controlled for the second of three games on the day. The Tampa Bay Rays and Toronto Blue Jays face off indoors at Tropicana Field.

Kansas City is expecting comfortable temperatures when the Royals defend their World Series crown in the nightcap against the New York Mets. It will be 72 degrees (22 C) in Kauffman Stadium when Royals starter Edinson Volquez deliverers the first pitch at 8:37 p.m. ET.
