Yankee Stadium boosts seating capacity for New York Derby

New York City FC has opened up the 400 level at Yankee Stadium to satisfy ticket demand for the New York Red Bulls visit on May 21.
The New York Derby proved to be a fiercely competed rivalry in NYCFC's inaugural season of 2015, and 2016 is expected to be no different with over 30,000 seats already sold for the grudge match.
The Red Bulls boasted an advantage over their foe from over the Hudson River last term, winning all three meetings.
The gates will open to the public at 1 p.m. so supporters can soak up the atmosphere well before the 3 p.m. kickoff time.
